Who We Are
Perry - Owner
I always loved cars as a kid. In those days we had no video games we worked on our cars on the weekend. Well I grew up since then and still fix cars. Go figure!
I've lived here in Kelowna in my youth and went back to Alberta for the work years. Once I realized that I could work anywhere I decided to come back to Kelowna. I was lucky enough to meet Steve Wolfe and Dave Ward, who taught me A/C and auto electric in their companies AirWolfe and Wards Electric. Both these guys have now passed, but we still carry their knowledge and ethics at The AutoDoctor.I purchased Air Wolfe in 2014 and blended it with my company Air Doctor, creating what you know now as The Auto Doctor. Over the years it has grown to become a trusted repair shop in the Okanagan, that works with custom and everyday transport vehicles.
We thank Kelowna for letting us be a part of their vehicle maintenance because with out them we would not be here!
Dave Leake - Head Mechanic
I signed up for automotive apprenticeship in 1988 while working at a Petro-Canada in Oliver. I moved to a busier location in Osoyoos in 1990 and installed propane conversions, as at that time Government incentives paid $1000 towards "greener fuels."
From there I moved to doing large tires in Penticton, where I was trained in doing all Highway truck tires, skidder tires, loader tires and operated a 3-ton Hiab service truck doing larger Electrohaul HUGE tires!
I returned to the Automotive field in 1992 in Kelowna and received training in wheel alignment, brake repair and general auto repairs.
I became a Licensed Mechanic in 1996 and have remained in the automotive repair/tire industry to the present day at the Autodoctor! In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and singing, preferably around a campfire!
Maddie Christian - Apprentice
I grew up in Kelowna after moving from Prince George with my mom who has worked in the automotive industry my whole life, and my step dad being in the electrical field, learning a lot about those careers, and learning to understand them.
I have always loved cars and trucks from the time I was little, and knew I would want to work on them as much as possible. I have taken two years of automotive classes which has taught me a lot and has sold me on being in the trades industry and making it my career. I plan on getting my full apprenticeship and license and working to do what I love professionally.
When I'm not in the shop I enjoy being up in the mountains, fishing and working with the horses. Anything outdoors!
